Racist America
Is America a racist country? The only thing I find more ludicrous than this question, is an answer in the affirmative.
It could be argued that America was never a racist country, including the slavery days. It was about slaves, not blacks. Other than African slaves (mostly captured and sold by Muslims…for what it’s worth) there were indentured servants from Europe, who were mostly white. It was about money, not attitude. Regardless, the country changed a lot from the Civil War to the 1950’s. Many consider the pre-civil rights era of the 50’s a racist America. Probably not, at least not the country as a whole, but maybe so; regardless again, the country has changed a lot since the 50’s.
It is a big stretch to call the America of today a racist country. Maybe not everybody in America really, really loves everybody else, but anyone can make it in America easier than they can make it anywhere else.
As I prepare for the screech-fest that will soon become the campaign of Barrack Hussein Obama, I fully expect the Racist America card to come up again and again in an attempt to ignite White Guilt and bring people running to the salvation of the Obamessiah.
Professor Walter Williams wrote an excellent article recently on the importance of Jackie Robinson to the future of black athletes. Robinson was the first black player in the major leagues. A large amount of the country was rooting for him to fail. He received ridicule and torment from not only opposing fans and players, but fans and players from his own team. Had Jackie Robinson failed, he would have been known as the first black baseball player and it would have taken decades before he was no longer known as the last.
However, Jackie Robinson is in the Hall of Fame and the rest is history. (Go Dodgers!)
Barrack Hussein Obama is no Jackie Robinson. If he actually wins, he will be the last black candidate for most of our lifetimes. He is not ready for today’s world.
Obama’s problem is his ideas. Obama believes in things that are bad for America.
Obama wants to begin a pull-out of troops in Iraq on a timetable, regardless of results on the ground. The US has only conducted this strategy one other time, and it was the only time in the history of America that I can say I was not proud. (Regards to Michelle Obama for the metaphor). The United States abandoned its Vietnamese allies and allowed the Communists to win a huge victory, not to mention 2-3 million deaths of American allies. (As Joseph Stalin said, “One death is a tragedy. A million deaths is a statistic”.) Obama must have seen some light in that move, but I don’t.
Obama wants to raise taxes at the beginning of a recession. Has this ever worked? Does anyone remember the word “stagflation”? Reagan eventually allowed us to laugh at it, after cutting taxes, but it wasn’t funny at the time. Supply-side economics actually work.
Obama wants to nationalize health care. Just remember back to the last time you visited the doctor as the Good Old Days, as far as customer service goes. Also remember back to the days when you only paid 40% of your income on taxes. Free Health Care isn’t exactly free.
Obama doesn’t believe in one thing that has proven good for America. But he’s running to change America. He belittled rural conservative voters as bible-thumping, gun nuts who are embittered with the government. He may be partially right. If he brought his metro-sexual elitist friends around to take away somebody’s guns and bibles, they may just go home with more bullets than guns.
When America rejects Obama in the upcoming November general election, it won’t be because of race. Obama is a lightweight socialist, playing on a stage too big for him. America is looking for another Jackie Robinson. America needs a leader who can navigate through the messy leftovers of Communism and through the toxic waste of Islamo-Fascism. America needs another Willie Mays, not another Willie Horton.
