Great News!
It’s great news! Only 26% of Methodists believe that suicide bombings which indiscriminately kill innocent civilians are “sometimes” justified. Now THAT is a tolerant religion! Barely over 1 out of 4 will be likely to kill a non-Methodist over religious disagreements. (Watch out Presbyterians). This is the kind of tolerance and respect for life that America was founded upon. Oh wait…I read that wrong. It’s not Methodists, it’s Muslims. Still, with only 1 out of 4 of a particular creed pre-disposed to murdering people who disagree with them, it must be a great thing. Right?
It is if you get your news from the mainstream media. Any of us would be shocked to discover that a quarter of our neighbors sympathize with murderers. If the respondents to the Pew Research Center poll really were Methodists, it would be huge news. However, for some reason Muslims get a pass. Here are some recent headlines: "Survey: U.S. Muslims Assimilated, Opposed to Extremism," says The Washington Post. "American Muslims reject extremes," says USA Today. The Chicago Tribune: "U.S. Muslims more content, assimilated than those abroad."
I suppose 3 out of 4 is usually a good thing. However, it’s kind of like the guy who’s having an affair with your wife saying “we only have sex ¼ of the time we’re together. What’s the big deal”? There are some areas where zero-tolerance is an appropriate policy. Murder and adultery are a couple of examples.
The mainstream media has become an ally to America’s enemies. Even though Islamic Law violates every “liberal” principle of today’s American Socialist, the fact that Islam opposes Capitalism is enough to bring two strange bed partners together. The socialists that dominate the media are in such a state of denial over their own failed “religion”, that they will align themselves with anyone who opposes their nemesis: Capitalism. Capitalism has brought wealth and freedom; Socialism has brought slavery and death. If one clings to socialistic philosophy, one must deny reality.
America is in a 2-front war. I don’t mean Afghanistan and Iraq. I mean Islam and Socialism. The enemies abroad wish to kill us. The enemies within wish to change us. Our enemies have united. Whether it’s jihadists strapping on suicide belts, or environmentalists lobbying for stricter emission controls, the enemy is on the offensive. As Americans who respect Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness, we do not want to go to war needlessly. However, when war comes to us regardless, it’s time to fight.
