Class Warfare
Democrats fight every proposed tax cut with the same class-warfare message: “It’s a tax cut for the wealthy”. They always fail to mention that the “wealthy” pay 99.1% of the taxes.
First off, why would a poor person give a rip if someone else has to pay less taxes? Her welfare benefits aren’t decreasing. Seriously, why would someone at the bottom end of the wage scale care whether or not someone higher than her had to pay more taxes? Envy is a possible reason. Does this woman, who doesn’t hold a full-time job, somehow have a great understanding of macro-economics? Is she a good delegate to vote for economic policy? Is that a good policy for the country?
The “wealthy” are defined different ways, but here is the general breakdown: The top 1% of wage earners pay about 10% of federal income taxes. The top 5%, 20%. The top 60% (basically, anyone with a full-time job), 99.1%. It is very difficult to make a tax cut that doesn’t benefit the “wealthy”, when the wealthy are paying essentially all of the taxes.
This is classic Marxist class warfare. Neither Hillary nor Obama can wait to raise taxes, but neither can explain why. Neither talks about balancing the budget. Both talk about big spending increases. Neither talks about how tax increases effect economies. However, neither can wait to raise taxes. Why?
They are playing a game of class warfare to their envious base. They played a game of race-baiting that their base found appalling, because it was Blacks vs. Whites within the tolerant Democratic Party. This was bad. Class warfare is Rich vs. Poor against the evil Republicans. This is fine.
The Democrats embrace a failed ideology that led to the death and enslavement for hundreds of millions of people in the last century. Reality is not enough to convince them of their mistakes. I found a quote from Founding Father Samuel Adams in an address to the British Loyalists during the Revolutionary War:
“If you love wealth more than liberty, the tranquility of servitude better than the animating contest of freedom, depart from us in peace. We ask not your counsel nor your arms. Crouch down and lick the hand that feeds you. May your chains rest lightly upon you and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen.”
There is only one United States. Marxists, don’t let the door hit you on the way out.
