Oh, by the way...

In case you haven’t heard, America and its allies have won the war in Iraq.

The world’s most famous cave-dwelling nomad, Osama bin Laden, in his most recent internet speech to the world, talked about “mistakes” by the mahajudin. This inflamed the Muslim world. The NBC of Islam, al-Jazeera, was blasted by protests screaming that they only played the parts of his speech that benefited the Western cause. If only. However, the full tape reveals that bin Laden believes al-Qaeda in Iraq has indeed made mistakes that will ultimately lead to its defeat.

Ultimately is too kind. al-Qaeda has already lost. The Sunni tribes that protected al-Qaeda for more than 4 years, have turned decisively against their guests. The charm of al-Qaeda, such as beheading children, has finally grown cold on those who thought that another Sadaam Hussein would arise.

The goal of al-Qaeda, beginning with the bombing of the Samarra Mosque in the spring of 2005, was to start a civil war between the Sunnis and Shiites. It almost worked. Democrat politicians certainly fell for it. I’m not even going to quote the idiots of the JackAss party, as they are both too numerous and too inconsequential. However, the perception given to the public by the mainstream media was that Iraq was an unwinable war, fought by Bush-brainwashed idiots for the cause of Big Oil and Republican contractors.

This is called projection, in psychology. It reflects the beliefs that its advocates would feel, if they were the ones making decisions. The Left of this country is demonstrating through its tantrums, that if they were in charge, the US would fight wars to feed their constituencies. Back in reality, the War on Terror was not a conspiracy by anyone other than the Muslims who wish to control the world. However, the Leftists (i.e. Democrats) who envy only power, wish it were a war on President Bush. They actively cheer for defeat, since that would mean beating President Bush. When do we get to call them traitors?

The mentors of Osama bin Laden, the Wahabi imams of Saudi Arabia, issued a fatwa last month asking that jihadists NOT go to Iraq for martyrdom. This was ignored by everyone. The only thing this means is “we have lost in Iraq. Save yourselves for later work”.

Iraq has been won, but the War on Terror is far from over. The violence that will continue in Iraq will come from Shiite militias that are sponsored by Iran. Only after a regime change in Iran, will there be true peace in Iraq. The next step for the United States is obvious.

Iran’s President Ahmadinejad is a gift. He actually says what’s on his mind. His predecessors were viewed as “moderates”, although they were the ones that started and continued Iran’s plan to build a nuclear arsenal. This would be the arsenal that Ahmadinejad refers to when he mentions “wiping Israel off the map”.

Iran has committed so many Acts of War against the United States, that it almost makes a mockery of the term. Beyond holding American diplomats hostage for 444 days and killing more Americans than any group other than al-Qaeda since 1979, plus fueling the insurgency in a country that is the most critical battlefield in the War on Terror, what does a country have to do before the United States should annihilate its leadership?

It is time to bomb Iran.

Ground forces will not be required, other than to defend against a “possible” Iranian counter—attack. The details of the battle can be debated endlessly, but the result will be the same. The Americans will destroy the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

When the Revolutionary Guard is destroyed, the mullahs will have no protection against the revolution. 90% of Iranians hate the mullahs. But they can do nothing about it. Nothing other than sacrificing their lives in a futile cause. Just like Saddam’s army in Iraq, which was built to keep the civilians in check more than the enemy out, so is Iran. The main purpose of its military is to keep dissidents silent. If the Guard is destroyed, the anti-mullah rebels will have a hay-day.

Feel good about our soldiers getting it done in Iraq. General Petreaus deserves a 5th Star.

On to Iran…
